BBC Radio 4 said this morning that they got hold of a confidential report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which states that Syria likely had a nuclear reactor in the facility that was bombed ‘allegedly’ by Israel four years ago.
This must be a significant piece of news, and I wonder how the US and EU are going to exploit it politically against Syria. It comes at a time President Bashar Al-Assad is loosing all his negotiation ‘tools’ and his friends (Turkey,Qatar, Al-Akhbar & As-Safir newspapers).
We will have to wait and see what happens with this report, and how the international community will deal with it; But that could easily end up in the UN Security Council. Will Russia and China have the same position as last month, when they opposed a resolution against Syria?
