Since the start of the uprising, Syrian state media wasn’t deterred from claiming the silliest, and illogical claims just to defend their unreasonable case, which no one outside their influence believes. Similar insane claims were for example accusing Qatar and Aljazeera of fabricating the protests and filming them in studios. Or getting sensitive with the Syrian weather forecast on AlArabiya Channel, accusing them of coding the forecast news with orders to insurgents!
Today, the Syrian regime went down to a new low, by implementing the saying that Bashar Assad gave in his first speech (since the start of the uprising) before the ‘parliament’: ‘lie, lie, lie until you believe your lie’. So to proof their lie about the presence of Al-Qaeda, which is supposedly responsible for the bombings in the capital, they fabricated an Al-Qaeda today – literally.
Today’s explosion is the second in two weeks and on a Friday. In addition to framing the opposition, it may have been organised to frighten the population, and deter protesters from protesting in future on that day. Moreover, the defected Syrian army (Free Syrian Army) operations don’t get the same coverage from the state media. In the last two Damascus explosions, state media reached the site within seconds of the explosions going off. They seemed waiting around the corner; when people were literally still blowing the dust off their clothes (when the media arrived). No fire was observed due to the explosion, and damages were mostly in windows only. Cars were not blown into pieces, although human pieces disproportionately existed and were shown on state TV.
Before moving on to the below videos from today, I must pay respect to the innocent victims who were targeted today, I am surely not claiming they don’t exist. These videos were taken in the historic Midan quarter, in the heart of the capital Damascus, where protests routinely took place before:
- @ 00:47 – a member of the Syrian security forces woke up intact when he was supposedly dying:
- Syrian TV reporter throwing some plastic bags near ‘blood spots to give the impression of the presence of normal civilians citizens – note how the TV anchor was flabbergasted by that and went on mute:
- Another Syrian Tom Cruise, who was supposed to be injured and suffering a psychological shock, jumped away from the camera when faced by it:
- Riots shields being dropped in the allegedly targeted bus, to imply more policemen were harmed:
…And on top of all that, we are supposed to believe that the attack was a suicide bomb. By the way, blunders are still being exposed from the first Damascus explosion two weeks ago; its latest was that some of the victims names reported by the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) then, had been previously reported as killed in other incidents by the same SANA. This sheds big doubts time on the numbers they report. You can check the full story in Arabic here.
The stupidity of the regime is really unprecedented. It’s really killing the people…with laughter too.
