Ana Maria Luca from NOW Lebanon wrote an interesting article ‘The Sunni Streets’, following up on the clashes that took place last week in Tarik Al-Jadideh in Beirut. She interviewed me about the events and quoted me in her piece.

I must admit that I was surprised to know that some Sunni guys have ‘sectarian hope’ for the Sunni Mourabitoun party – which is current a staunch ally of Hezbollah with their leader Moustapha Hamdan – to join them in the battle against Hezbollah:

the only way a new Sunni group would be able to form and stand against Hezbollah’s allies would be with the help of some former Mourabitoun members who fought in the civil war

Pure sectarian argument with no room for justice, truth and rule of law. Anyway, please click here to check Ana’s full piece, and what I had to say to her!
